Screaming to SINGING!
You may know that these first 18 months of Donny's life have not been easy when it comes to sleeping through the night. He finally got tubes back in October, and we thought those had done the trick. He slept well for ABOUT a month, after that it was back to waking at least once a night. He would scream and SCREAM. We'd offer some milk. I'd try to hold him, but nothing really seemed to work. We got the point where we'd just have to lay him down on the floor and let him throw a fit for a while until he was ready to be held. I still don't know if he was actually in pain or having some sort of night terrors.
This past week has been a different story. He's still not sleeping all night, but instead of screaming when he wakes up he SINGS. He sings to himself anywhere from 30 min. to an hour. It's wonderful. It still wakes me up, but there's something so peaceful about listening to your baby laying in his bed singing even if it is at 3am! THIS is something I could get used to.
Here's to hoping it keeps up -- or he actually starts sleeping all night! Either way would be just fine with me. :o)

Changes...
We put our house on the market last Tuesday, January 25, 2011. It has been quite an adventure getting the house decluttered and making it show-worthy. I'd have to say about half of our stuff is in storage. It definitely made me wonder why we had all that STUFF anyway!
Don and I would LOVE it if the house would sell quickly, however we're being realistic since we know that it could take anywhere from a week to more than a year.
It's a lot of work keeping everything picked up -- especially with 2 kids making the mess faster than you can clean it. The thing I miss the most is our king size bed. While it does fit in the master, we thought the queen would make the room look a little more spacious. I know we'll all be sleeping much better once we can get settled into a new home! This is a big deal for us since Don had no say in getting this house -- it was a purchase I made as a single woman. :o)
Keep your fingers crossed for us, and spread the word!
