Moments like this are meant to be remembered!

Funny moment of the day:

Braelyn is bossing her daddy around. He, of course, tells her that's not the way it works. He's the daddy and he'll always be able to tell HER what to do no matter how old she is. He also says that Mommy and Daddy brought her into this world, and they can take her out. Braelyn starts crying and says, "NOOOOO! I don't want to go to outer space!"

Ha ha ha ha!! Love it! :)

This is what it's all about.

This is just one of the many reasons I'm happy with our move to this neighborhood.

These are the moments we live for!

Day with the Dinos

Don and I took the kids to the Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit at the Heard Museum recently. Donny really enjoys playing with his dinos, so we thought he'd LOVE seeing these dinos move and roar. We couldn't have been more WRONG! He loved waving "bye-bye" to them after we walked past them, but standing within a few feet of them was a little too much. Most of the time he either hid behind one of us or clung to us for dear life.

Braelyn, on the other hand, loved the dinos. She also thought it was funny that they were all wearing Christmas wreaths. Tis the season. :)

Maybe we'll try to go back in a couple years when Donny can really enjoy the dinos.

Always room for improvement...

I'm always looking for ways to spruce up the walls. This is still something I'm adjusting to since we moved here. There's SO MUCH MORE wall space in this house. My walls still feel empty in some rooms.

After hanging our family pictures from this year, I noticed that there were some odd spaces between my pictures that needed filling. I began my search for the perfect something to fill those spaces and found these cute "Live, Laugh, Love" wall words. Thank you, Amazon!

Isn't it cute?!

Our Snowmen

Have I mentioned that I'm addicted to Pinterest? No? Well, I am.

I get so many ideas that most of the time I don't ever get around to following through, but with these two weeks off from school I'm taking advantage!

Check out our craft for today:

Aren't they just about the cutest thing you've ever seen?

The footprint on the left is Braelyn's at age 5, and the footprint on the right is Donny's at age 2. This will be fun to display every Christmas. :)

Homemade Silly Putty

This was a fun thing to do with the kids today, too!

I made homemade silly putty (1 c. glue, 1/2 c. liquid starch) Mix it together -- it will likely take some kneading/mixing with your hands to get it to all stick together. A spoon just won't cut it!

After I got it all made, I split it into equal sections for the kids to play with. They spent about 45 minutes playing with the stuff before they got hungry for lunch.

I hear you can also make it glow in the dark by adding some glow in the dark paint. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try that, but maybe someday we'll get around to it. :)

Santa Transformations

I'm getting crafty this week with the kids. We have to find something to keep us busy, or else I go crazy!
