So, I haven't posted anything since September. Awful! I know! There's been a lot going on, but no time to write about it.
I guess I'll just type up a quick update:
Braelyn's doing great in school! She hasn't had her color changed in over a month. Either her behavior is improving, or her teacher has learned to tolerate more of her. :) The GT teachers just finished up their testing with the kindergarten kiddos. B's teacher is pretty convinced that Braelyn will qualify. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it would definitely be a little bit of an "aha moment" -- That's why she is the way she is! :) Love my smart baby girl!
Donny is thriving at Nana's (Miss Anne's) this year. He's learning shapes and even points them out as he sees them around the house. He counted to 8 a few days ago. Part of that could have been that he was repeating his big sister, but it's still a big accomplishment to be able to retain that sort of info. Donny is also in the process of potty training. This, by far, is my least favorite parenting job to date. I don't think I'm pushing it as hard as I was with Braelyn mostly because I don't have time to sit in the bathroom for 20 minutes while he THINKS he might need to go potty. He'll go when he's ready. Donny's vocabulary is also growing. He's speaking in complete sentences and even says some words that I'm surprised to hear him say...can't think of a good example right now, but he does it. Ha! :) I love my little buddy!
Watching the kids grow up is so much fun...also very challenging at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
We're out of school for the next two weeks for Christmas break. We're looking forward to visiting with Grandma W, Grandma J, and Aunt Amy. They'll be coming up from San Antonio later this week. We haven't seen them since the summertime.
Hopefully, I'll have a little extra time to post some new updates over the break.
Until next time...
Dewawn :)
So glad things are going well and the kids are growing so fast. I hope yall have a wonderful Christmas holiday and break from school.
